Her Inspiration & Vision

Goldie and Casey had recently eloped, and they planned a post-elopement wedding party a year later to celebrate with friends and family from all over the world. Even before she met Casey, Goldie had fallen in love with my work, especially the Lou design.

Her initial vision was modern, fun, and personal: she wanted to wear the Lou top with jeans or pants — casual, celebratory, and unique.

Goldie’s thoughtfulness and sweetness shone through from the very beginning, making every step of the process a joy.

The Sketch & Creation

We adapted Lou into a top-only design, focusing on:

  • Comfort and style so she could dance and celebrate freely.

  • Corset support that was safe for her post-surgery recovery.

  • Versatility so she could pair it with jeans, pants, or other bottoms.

Fun twist: Later on, after a little pep talk from her girlfriends, Goldie decided she wanted a skirt to pair with the top instead of jeans. This transformation made her outfit feel even more special and wedding-party ready.

Fun fact: Goldie chose cowboy boots named after her husband, adding a personal, playful touch to her look 🤠💛.

We moved forward with her custom mock-up and fabric selections, bringing every element of her new vision to life with care and intention.

The Dream Dress Reveal

When Goldie saw her completed look — the Lou-inspired top paired with her new skirt and boots — she couldn’t stop smiling. It was modern, playful, and perfectly celebratory, reflecting her personality and style.

This was the first MGC bride to pair her dress with cowboy boots, and the result was unexpectedly magical. Her happiness was contagious, and seeing her excitement reminded me how versatile Filipiniana-inspired designs can be.

The Journey Summary

Throughout our journey together, Goldie was one of the kindest brides I’ve worked with. Even amidst her surgery and recovery, she stayed thoughtful and joyful, making sure her dress was perfect without compromising her health.

It’s amazing to see how my designs can inspire brides even before I meet them — Goldie is living proof of that.

The Outcome

Goldie’s final look was effortlessly modern, playful, and heartfelt: the Lou-inspired top paired with a skirt and her husband-named cowboy boots, perfect for her post-elopement celebration. A subtle nod to her love story, her style, and her personality.

Congratulations to Goldie and Casey — here’s to love, laughter, and your fur babies! ✨
