Her Inspiration & Vision
Allison’s dream dress began with a simple yet elegant vision — something timeless, feminine, and effortlessly flattering. Drawing inspiration from my design Lou, she initially envisioned a modern Filipiniana with a mermaid silhouette and a slit, blending classic curves with understated charm.
As we refined her design together, it became clear that Allison wanted a gown that not only reflected her beauty but also captured the warmth and grace of her Filipina heritage.
The Sketch & Creation
Our initial mock-up featured smooth fabrics and clean lines — a minimal take on the Filipiniana. But halfway through the process, I felt something was missing. Her skirt, though elegant, needed more life, texture, and romance.
That’s when I suggested transforming it into a fully lace dress. The moment Allison agreed, everything fell into place. The lace detail elevated the entire silhouette, adding depth and movement that perfectly matched her soft, romantic spirit.
We moved forward with her custom mock-up and fabric selections, bringing every element of her new vision to life with care and intention.
The Dream Dress Reveal
When I sent Allison the video of her completed dream dress, her reaction melted my heart:

My journey with Allison was extra special. She was the first-ever Filipina bride I’ve created a wedding dress for, and also someone whose graduation dress I designed a year or two ago. To be part of yet another milestone in her life felt like a full-circle moment — from one chapter to another, both celebrated in Filipiniana fashion.
Her trust, kindness, and excitement made every step of the process feel meaningful. Together, we transformed her simple vision into a breathtaking masterpiece — a lace Filipiniana gown that reflects her story, heritage, and joy.
