My name is Maicah. I am getting engaged soon (not sure when), and we are planning our wedding to be October 2025…”
That was how Maicah first introduced herself — with her sweet and thoughtful tone that carried so much excitement for what was to come. She was drawn to the Lou design from our Contemporary Collection and envisioned a gown that perfectly blended modern elegance with timeless grace.
Her vision:
“I love the top half of the Lou design, but I dream of having more of an A-line bottom — is that possible?”
From that moment, I knew her dream dress journey would be one built on creativity, trust, and heartfelt collaboration.
The Sketch & Creation
Maicah’s gown became a customized evolution of our signature Lou design, tailored to capture her femininity and romantic simplicity. Together, we created:
The Lou-inspired structured bodice, flattering and minimalistic.
A soft A-line skirt that flowed beautifully for her ceremony and movement.
Clean lines and refined draping — effortlessly elegant, true to her personality.
This custom variation of Lou actually became a turning point for us — inspiring us to offer similar options to future brides who shared Maicah’s modern yet classic vision.
We moved forward with her custom mock-up and fabric selections, bringing every element of her new vision to life with care and intention.
🤍 A Beautiful Connection
Beyond design, what truly made this journey unforgettable was the bond we built with Maicah and Gerald. I had the privilege of meeting both of them personally — such a kind, genuine couple. Gerald, her now husband, is an incredibly talented photographer and videographer, and it was wonderful to connect through both creativity and friendship.
When I attended a conference in Canada, I took the opportunity to visit them in Edmonton for her first fitting. Everything went smoothly — thanks to the mock-up we prepared in advance, which fit beautifully! That moment of seeing her joy in person, surrounded by love and excitement, was something I’ll always remember.
The Dream Dress Reveal
Seeing Maicah wear her gown on her wedding day was pure magic. The way the fabric moved, the way the silhouette complemented her — it was as if the dress was made just for her heart.
Her calm, kind, and warm spirit radiated through every photo and video from that day. She carried the dress, and the story behind it, with so much grace.
